See "Independents" and meet Windy Pini (Elf Quest) Tuesday February 12 7-9pm

This just came in from Andrew Farago at the Cartoon Art Museum...

We'll be screening comic-book documentary film Independents at the Cartoon Art Museum this Tuesday, February 12 from 7-9pm. Director/Fillmmaker Chris Brandt will be on hand for a Q&A session, and we'll also be featuring a brief live-and-in-person interview with Wendy Pini, creator of the classic indie comic Elfquest. They will be interviewed by manga authority Deb Aoki after the film. Admission is only $5, and the event is free to Cartoon Art Museum members.

Zander Cannon Speaking at Wet Paint in St. Paul this Friday

If you live in the Twin Cities, you know that Wet Paint is the only place in town that sells the legendary Pentel Pocket Brush Pen. Located near Macalester College in St. Paul, it's the place to be if you want good art supplies and someone knowledgeable to sell them to you.

I'm going to be speaking in the store tomorrow (Friday) evening from 5:30 to 7:30 about comics, art supplies, career advice, and I'll probably mention the Pocket Brush Pen a few times.

What I won't mention is that I do most of my drawing on a ream of Office Max printer paper.
