It looks like nobody has posted anything here for a while but im looking to start a project and need to use all sources availible to me. Im a sacramento cartoonist currently published in the sac state hornet. However i want more exposure. I propose "The Cartooner." I've worked on two newspapers and with a little help i'm pretty sure i can put this together. It will be a free local paper distrubuted to bookstores and cafe's around sacramento. This is for Serious cartoonist looking to have a career in drawing comics and cartoons. Printing will cost so anyone that would want to be parart of my project will have to pay in the beggining. However once we start getting attention I will definatly start to look into advertising space and start getting my main staff paid to work with me. I know it sounds risky but its somthing that im going to do with or with out help. it will get you exposure for your comicstrips gags or editorial cartoons. Production wont start for a while becuase im just starting and need to get a few things done first (aquire Quark, talk to local printers,talk to local businesses and places to distribute.compile and email list of local cartoonist who are interested) once we start im looking to come out atlease once a month. if we get some steam behind us then we can start twice a month.
