I'm reposting this in the hopes of getting some last-minute comics:

Spout Press invites submissions for its upcoming anthology "Lush" a cocktail guide & poetry anthology featuring the work of comics artists. Lush will contain recipes for various cocktails as well as poems that mention said cocktails and comics on the subject of specific cocktails or cocktail culture in general. Or they don't even need to be about cocktails, there might just happen to be one within the comic. Here are the specs:

-Deadline for submissions is asap (contact Anna Pratt at annapratt@artlover.com for more information)
-Page size will be approximately 4x5 with a vertical orientation.
-page limit per comic is 5. we are also very interested in one panel comics.


Comics about specific drinks are strongly encouraged. We already have material for martinis, margaritas, manhattans, white russians, gin fizz, lemon drops, rob roys, salty dogs, margaritas, mint juleps, mudslides, whiskey sours, gin sours, amaretto sours, gimlets, boxcars [more here]. Anything else is fair game (or even repeats of any of the above).

Payment will be in copies of the book. Don't worry, the poets and the publishers aren't getting paid money either. It's all in good fun but will be an extremely professional, perfect-bound book.
